ABOUT DELTA DENTAL RACES
Northeast Delta Dental is the main sponsor of road races in NH. In addition to sponsoring events, we organize our own race series and are committed to supporting the community and caring for every participant.
Our Hopkinton Series started in early 2021 during a difficult time for local businesses, offering a three-race winter series to support a struggling fitness center. This series later became the Winter Blast Series. We also host a Snowshoe Series each winter, guided by our motto “Snow or No We Go," meaning races will not be canceled due to lack of snow but will instead turn into trail races. The Delta Dental Mountain Challenge was created when a race director faced difficulties launching her first mountain race; we responded by creating a mini-series with significant prize money to draw runners. Now in its fifth year, it includes seven events. Our latest series, the Bring on the Heat 5k Series, features six races designed to highlight some of our smaller, local races that benefit local charities.
We offer various holiday-themed races such as our new Valentine's Day Race, St. Patrick's Day Race, Mother's Day, and July 4th. During Thanksgiving, we hold a cornhole Biathlon, and we conclude the year with a Gingerbread 5k. All events support charities including the SUDC Foundation, Hope on Haven Hill, local running groups, the Northeast Delta Dental (NEDD) Foundation, and the Helping Hands Fund, as well as Operation Santa Claus.
All Delta Dental managed races are organized and created exclusively by Ellen and Tom Raffio, with complete funding from Northeast Delta Dental. Each race officially includes a charity component. We aim to support as many groups as possible through our passion for running and races.
